Debunking the Vaccine Guide, #2...

I'm having a really hard time with this book because literally every paragraph of every page is chock full of hundreds upon hundreds of completely ridiculous statements. I am not kidding. I'm actually quite surprised at how outrageous some of this is; anti-vaxers present this book as a "balanced" view. Hmm.

Ok, so this next chapter is titled "Contaminated Vaccines," and delves right into the anonymous source game.

"At least" one researcher who has agreed to speak "only on condition of complete anonymity," says:

"I was 'part of the inner circle.' If now I began to name names and make specific accusations against researchers, I could be in a world of trouble... If the FDA were run by honorable people, these vaccines would not be granted licenses. They would be investigated to within an inch of their lives... If you try to calculate what damage these contaminants can cause, well, we don't really know, because no testing has been done, or very little testing. It's a game of roulette. You take your chances...If I had a child now, the last thing I would allow is vaccination. I would move out of the state if I had to. I would change the family name. I would disappear." (Page 57-58)

First of all, how can more than one researcher have said the same exact quote? Secondly, I wonder how many mamas have decided not to vaccinate their children based on statements like this one from "anonymous sources?" Finally, his "source" for the anonymous source information is from whale.to. http://www.whale.to/v/rapp.html to be specific. You know how I feel about whale.to, right?

How about a little OPV caused HIV to round out the balance? Because that is what the good "doctor" would have you believe next, that we infected people with HIV lurking in the depths of the oral polio virus. He goes on to say that:

"Oral polio vaccine was used in repeated monthly doses beginning in 1974 to treat recurrent genital herpes (Tager, 1974). This treatment could have seeded the homosexual population with these simian retroviruses, producing the first United States AIDS epidemic (Kyle, 1992)." (Page 63)

I guess this part is kind of balanced:

They (researchers at the National Institute for Biological Standards in England) conducted a laboratory examination of oral polio vaccine preparations from 4 manufacturers used between 1975 and 1984, the era prior to testing for SIV contamination. They found no evidence of HIV or SIV gene sequences in these samples - but these were not the same cultures as those used in the period 1957 to 1960 in the Congo." (Page 64)

Again we have a scary concept that is unverifiable; namely that OPV was contaminated with a monkey virus which mutated in humans to create the first cases of HIV, so long ago that we can't prove it one way or another.

Let's move on to stealth viruses. What is a stealth virus? A stealth virus is one which, according to Dr. John Martin "fail to evoke an inflammatory reaction in the patients from whom they were isolated because the viruses lack target antigens for recognition by the body's cellular immune system." I'd worry about my lack of science knowledge here except that Dr. John Martin discovered these stealth viruses in "cultures isiolated from at least two patients." At least two patients? Is this guy serious?

"Dr. Martin has identified stealth viral infections in all of the following conditions: chronic fatigue syndrome, autism, fibromyalgia, Gulf War Syndrome, depression and dementia in adults, and attention deficit and behavioral disorders in children. Stealth viral infection can also cause severe encephalopathy." (Page 65)

Now how the heck did he come up with all that from "at least two patients?" Magic?

To be continued...
